Everyone talks about data leadership and how important it is. But what is that valuable data, and in what format is it maintained in data systems? Data modeling helps visualize and analyze the structures and contents of critical data so the organization and business can make use of it.
The Practical Data Modeling training session helps you understand how you can visualize the interdependencies between the information your organization uses and various data objects. The training session will cover the basics of information architecture and the methods for creating a data model that supports the organization’s operations, such as to support the launch of a configuration management database (CMDB).

The Practical Data Modeling training session came about when we observed that service organizations often lack skills in data modeling. This causes significant difficulties in understanding, describing and communicating critical business data, and makes key stakeholder collaboration difficult.
The session will provide participants with the key terminology and concepts of data modeling as well as teach them data model visualization through exercises.
In Practical Data Modeling, participants will learn how to apply theory to practice.
